The opening section of the piece has the hiker staring up at the mountain, impressed with the view.
The second section has the hiker getting on with it, marching up the path. They hear the sounds of birds as they go.
In the final section the hiker has reached the summit and looks out at the amazing view, this time from the top of the mountain.
I studied Voice Performance and Composition at the University of Toronto. I’ve written lots of vocal music, including two One Act Operas, and choral music for such choirs as the Toronto Mendelssohn Youth Choir, Chorus Niagara, and Mississauga Festival Choir.
I’ve also written orchestral music for ensembles such as the Durham Chamber Orchestra and the Ontario Pops Orchestra.
